Tricolored Heron in seafoamTricolored Heron in sea foam – Nikon D200, handheld, f6.3, 1/2000, ISO 250, Nikkor 80-400mm VR at 370mm, natural light

I photographed this Tricolored Heron (Egretta tricolor) a few years ago when I still lived in Florida. The heron was hunting on the shoreline of the Gulf of Mexico when a wave came in and created the sea foam where the bird was standing.  I like how some of the foam flew into the air around the heron.
