Two mornings ago at Farmington Bay WMA I had a swimming immature Tundra Swan in my viewfinder for a few minutes. I haven’t photographed the Tundra Swans as often as I would like this winter but in the past few weeks I have gotten some images of them that I really like.<\/p>\n

The last time I shared Tundra Swan images here all four of the swans were adults<\/span><\/a> that I photographed at Bear River MBR.<\/p>\n

This young Tundra Swan foraged for aquatic vegetation as I photographed it moving slowly across the surface of a pond that reflected the bright blue sky. A little bit of the mud from the bottom of the pond can be seen on top of the swan’s head.<\/p>\n

It won’t be long before all of the Tundra Swans head north to their breeding grounds. I know that I will miss seeing these large white birds and hearing their calls<\/span><\/a> throughout the warmer months of the year.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
