I took this Canada Goose portrait last week at my local pond before the weather decided to turn to crap and go from spring to winter and back to spring.<\/p>\n

This was also before the back end of my website went down which meant I couldn’t share photos here for two days. Sorry if my not posting concerned anyone. Up until two days ago I had posted every day for 2,538<\/strong> days straight without a break which is 6.9<\/strong> years. I would have made it to 7 years straight by May 2nd.<\/p>\n

Back to this Canada Goose.<\/p>\n

This Canada Goose had been affected by angel wing<\/span><\/a> which meant it could not fly and yet the goose made it through the winter just fine at my local pond. It had food to eat and could get into the water for safety when it needed to. After I took this photo an unleashed black Labrador Retriever scared the poor goose into the water.<\/p>\n

There is a leash law at my local pond but I think the female owner of the Lab may have thought she was special and thus she didn’t follow the law. Unfortunately there are quite a few of those “special” people who allow their dogs to run around unleashed at the pond. I love dogs. Their owners not so much at times.<\/p>\n

I was glad that I was able to take portraits of this Canada Goose on that sunny spring morning before the dog chased the goose into the pond.<\/p>\n

Not being able to share photos here for two days was frustrating. Adding to my frustrations was the fact that I couldn’t get into the back end to notify anyone about what was going on. Sorry about that.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
