Last week while up in the mountains on two separate mornings I was able to take some adult male Yellow Warbler photos at the same willow thicket. Since the males are territorial on their breeding grounds and there is an active nest in this thicket these are all probably photos of the same male warbler. This photo shows the male on the 15th of June singing in front of a bright blue sky.<\/p>\n

The warbler didn’t give me many different poses that morning.<\/p>\n

But the next day he did when I found him perched in the willow thicket. His yellow feathers positively glowed in the bright morning light.<\/p>\n

The male Yellow Warbler even sang as he perched on a willow branch. His song<\/span><\/a> delighted my ears and his plumage my eyes.<\/p>\n

The male warbler hung around on the willow branch longer than I thought he would which was a pleasant surprise. He may have been taking a break from his parental duties. As a mom and parental unit myself, I can relate to that.<\/p>\n

A little later on the same morning the bright yellow male warbler was busy searching for and finding food for the young ones he and his mate have in the nest. It was great having the male Yellow Warbler in my viewfinder two days in a row.<\/p>\n
