The flowers of fall have started to bloom. I don’t know which species of asters are in these photos that I took at Farmington Bay. They might even be fleabanes which are still in the aster family. Asters are a species of wildflower I expect to see as fall arrives.<\/p>\n

Temps are finally dropping, days are shorter, and autumn is on the way.<\/p>\n

This summer has been miserable and one with record high temps. Not just now and then, but for days on end. We had 34 days over 100\u00b0F and a stretch of them for 9 days in a row in September. The 34 days that were over 100\u00b0F shattered the old record of 21 days for the year.<\/p>\n

Plus it has been dry. In some areas, I have never seen it dryer since I moved here in 2009. It has been a miserable summer here in northern Utah.<\/p>\n

I am not sad to see the end of this summer. I’m over it. Instead, I am looking forward to feeling chilled along with finding and celebrating the birds of fall and winter.<\/p>\n

Yes. The summer of 2022 can kiss my asters.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
