While looking for birds at Farmington Bay WMA last week I spotted a Muskrat standing up in the marsh through an open area of vegetation. I quickly stopped my Jeep to photograph the furry, yellow-toothed rodent.<\/p>\n

Although I wish there hadn’t been shadows on the Muskrat I was simply excited to photograph one of these creatures that wasn’t swimming in the water. I have tons of photos of Muskrats<\/span><\/a> swimming, so many in fact that I have only posted a few. I don’t have many of them standing up in their back legs showing the long nails on their front feet.<\/p>\n

Those are some long nails!<\/p>\n

The setting wasn’t the best and neither is this image but I was out in the field enjoying nature and sometimes it doesn’t get any more perfect than that. In that moment, I had everything I needed.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
