This morning I am sharing this photo of a tiny Marsh Wren hanging upside down in the marsh at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge<\/span><\/a> simply because I like it.<\/p>\n

When I took this image earlier this week I was looking for birds along the auto tour loop at the refuge. I heard<\/span><\/a> the wren chattering before I saw it. After looking around for a second or two I spotted the wren hanging upside down on phragmites stalk.<\/p>\n

Although the Marsh Wren was further away from me than I would have liked I couldn’t resist taking photos of the bird because I liked the upside down pose. Seeing the wren in this pose made me laugh out loud. This morning I wondered how many times I have laughed like that at the refuge because of something there that brought me joy or tickled my sense of humor. I’m pretty sure that number is in the hundreds. Maybe more.<\/p>\n

Less than ten minutes after this photo was taken I found my first Swamp Sparrow in Utah<\/span><\/a>. Finding that sparrow was a delightful surprise.\u00a0 After I took photos of the sparrow I let out a whoop of joy followed by another laugh.<\/p>\n

Sometimes it IS<\/em> the little things that bring copious amounts of joy. I’m open to it all.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
