I went through more of the Common Loon photos that I have taken since the beginning of this month. I wanted to share more images of these beautiful birds. Earth Day seems as good as day as any to do just that.<\/p>\n

These images were selected because of poses, behaviors, and because quite simply, I liked them. I took full advantage of my time with the loons because I might not be blessed with opportunities like I have had again. Up until this spring my time with loons was limited or the loons I found were far away. It was such a gift to have loons as close as they were and most of the time, in great light.<\/p>\n

I don’t regret a single photo I took even though it took me a long time to go through them all. I’m thoroughly delighted to have added these Common Loon images to my galleries.<\/p>\n

I will probably post more of the loon photos I have taken in the future. Hopefully warmer weather will return so I can get back out into the field. Photographing the other migrants that are arriving in northern Utah is high on my to do list. I am anxious to see and hear so many of them.<\/p>\n

These Common Loons certainly remind me that we need to take care of the land, water, and air on Earth Day.<\/p>\n
