The last time I went up to Bear River MBR<\/span><\/a>, I photographed this male Red-winged Blackbird crooner singing loud and strong.<\/p>\n

I adore hearing males Red-winged Blackbirds singing in the marshes and wetlands surrounding the Great Salt Lake. Their song is true delight for my ears.<\/p>\n

I picked this photo to share because it made me laugh. It really is as simple as that. The head on, wings puffed out, wide open bill posture is 100% pure bird. I think humans imitate birds more often than we acknowledge, only in the case of birds it isn’t about ego like it can be with humans.<\/p>\n

That is one reason I love birds so much. There is nothing fake about them.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
