I came across this Trumpeter Swan photo taken in Montana in my archives a few days ago and wondered why I had never processed the file or shared it before. My best guess is that I was really busy right after I took the image in June of 2016.<\/p>\n

I love the scenery of the vernal wetlands, the landing Trumpeter Swan, and the vibrant yet naturally rich colors shown in the photo. Most of the time, I prefer to have my subject larger in the frame. However, there are moments when I believe that the habitat is just as significant as my subject. This was precisely the case with this swan photo.<\/p>\n

The splashing water in front of the swan conveys a sense of movement that I rather enjoy.<\/p>\n

Spring is a season of joy for me and for many other people. I think that this image shows that joy.<\/p>\n

I miss spending time in the Centennial Valley of Montana in spring, summer and fall. It is the wildness I miss the most.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
