I can’t pass up photographing mountain Mallard babies when I find their little fluffy selves on mountain creeks, streams, lakes, or reservoirs. I don’t even try to pass them by. These ducklings are just freaking adorable.<\/p>\n

It was almost a year ago when I found these Mallard ducklings floating on a creek high in the Wasatch Mountains. I suspect that the Mallards up there might have nested a bit later this year than in the previous few years because of the higher amount of snow we received this past winter.<\/p>\n

Every time I see Mallard ducklings, I hope they will survive to adulthood. Although Mallards are a common duck species across most of North America, I still love them.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Maybe part of the reason is also that when I lived overseas I did not see Mallards and I missed them during those years.<\/p>\n

I am hoping to see some Mallard babies again this year.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
