When I photographed this Eastern Cottontail rabbit at Mount Magazine State Park<\/span><\/a> in Logan County, Arkansas I was enchanted by it and the setting. I had eaten a sumptuous breakfast at the beautiful lodge there and been mesmerized by the stunning views while eating a hearty meal and drinking nice, strong coffee all while enjoying the wonderful company of my friend and fellow photographer, Steve Creek<\/span><\/a>. We were at the highest point in Arkansas while at the park. I hope to share some landscape images I took while I was at the park soon.<\/p>\n

The Eastern Cottontail rabbit was a neat find by Steve and I enjoyed photographing it as it noshed on the dew-laden grasses and forbs. Eastern Cottontail<\/span><\/a> rabbits look an awful lot like the Desert Cottontails<\/span><\/a> I am used to seeing in Utah. I haven’t photographed this species since I left Florida in 2009 so you can imagine how happy it made me to have this one in my viewfinder.<\/p>\n

I took more Eastern Cottontail images in Steve’s yard. I will be sharing those when I get settled back here at home in Utah. For now, this cottontail makes me smile so I wanted to share it this morning. I hope it makes you all smile too.<\/p>\n
