This raggedy male Spotted Towhee photo, taken in Morgan County, Utah, two years ago, made me smile when I came across it in my file archives a few days ago.<\/p>\n

Spotted Towhee males are colorful and striking members of the sparrow family. I’d even go so far as to say that they have a dashing appearance. That is just my opinion, of course.<\/p>\n

After a long, hot summer of helping his mate raise their young, even these handsome, red-eyed towhees can look a bit on the raggedy side. This male Spotted Towhee<\/span><\/a> may have just finished bathing when I photographed him high in the Wasatch Mountains in August of 2021, or he may have been just shaking out his feathers.<\/p>\n

But this photo made me smile. I found this image in my files when I myself was feeling a bit frazzled. I’ve been feeling that way frequently of late. This photo reminded me that not only is it okay to feel that way, but that it’s also fine to just shake off that feeling whenever I want to.<\/p>\n

This past week has made me feel a bit raggedy and frazzled. I think I’ll just shake those feelings off and maybe even dance a bit while I do that.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
