Yesterday morning, I could tell there was going to be some vibrant color in the sunrise over the Wasatch Mountains, so I drove down to my local pond to take photos.<\/p>\n

I took my Nikon D810 with a 18-200mm lens attached which allowed me to zoom in for this image. The clouds close to the tops of the Wasatch Mountains positively glowed.<\/p>\n

I didn’t realize that I had also photographed birds flying in the sky until I got home and viewed this file on my laptop. The birds might be starlings or pigeons, I am not sure.<\/p>\n

Then I zoomed out so that I could photograph the pond in the foreground, more of the mountains, and a wider expanse of the sunrise and sky. Some snow can be seen on the peaks of the mountains.<\/p>\n

Finally, I zoomed back in a bit because I wanted to show more of the fire in the sky over the mountain peaks.<\/p>\n

The sunrise colors didn’t last long yesterday morning, but they were beautiful. I’m glad that I drove down to my local pond to take these images. Sunrise and sunsets can be especially vibrant at this time of the year, and I thoroughly enjoy photographing them.<\/p>\n

This morning, as I write this, it is raining. It isn’t cold enough to snow down in the valley, but it might be at higher elevations. The sunrise this morning isn’t likely to be as colorful as it was yesterday. I’ll be watching for more glowing sunrises and sunsets over the Wasatch Mountains<\/span><\/a> this month.<\/p>\n
