Just a quick post about my American Snout butterfly lifer taken in my friend Steve Creek’s garden<\/span><\/a> in Arkansas. This is my first photo of this butterfly species.<\/p>\n

American Snout butterflies are small brown butterflies with a distinctive elongated snout-like \u2018nose\u2019. I knew this was a snout butterfly right away because I have seen them before. Then I used iNaturalist<\/span><\/a> to narrow down and figure out the species.<\/p>\n

I wish I had been a little closer to this winged beauty, but the butterfly took off into the breeze before I could get closer.<\/p>\n

The light was just right though!<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
