I wandered around Tishomingo Wildlife Management Unit yesterday morning. It was gorgeous and peaceful! I know I will go back to explore it again soon.<\/p>\n

Tishomingo Wildlife Management Unit<\/span><\/a> is part of the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge and is managed by both the state and federal government.<\/p>\n

During the morning, I explored every campground, which all have great views. I also explored the river access roads. I heard and saw many different species of birds and saw signs of other wildlife that had come to the water to get a drink.<\/p>\n

I stopped frequently to take photos and to soak up the peace and quiet I found in the unit.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Turkey Vulture at Whiskey Creek Lake – Tishomingo Wildlife Management Unit
\n<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

I photographed a sunbathing Turkey Vulture at Whiskey Creek Lake and a Great Egret in the morning mist at Reeve’s Ravine. The last photo in the gallery of Whiskey Creek Lake includes the thermoregulating vulture and the tree it was in. It is to the right of the bright, tallest leaning tree trunk in the image.<\/p>\n

My main objective yesterday morning was to explore the area for some car camping adventures in the future. Still, I couldn’t help myself, I photographed the birds I found out in the open.<\/p>\n

After I left the Tishomingo Wildlife Management Unit, it was just a short drive over to the Tishomingo National Wildlife Refuge, so I went over there too.<\/p>\n

I have so much exploring to do!<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
