It got really hot yesterday and if there were a bird bath here I might have gotten into it and splashed around like this bathing American Robin did in April.<\/p>\n

These photos of American Robins were taken while sitting on my dear friend Steve Creek’s deck<\/span><\/a>. Steve is great about keeping the bird bath filled with fresh water for the birds to drink and bathe in. Even the squirrels in his yard come to get water from it.<\/p>\n

American Robins frequently bathed while I visited Steve and his dog, Rosie. They splashed with wild abandon, as if they were enjoying getting wet.<\/p>\n

I saw a high of 103\u00b0F yesterday, so I was thinking about cool, splashing water when I remembered I had these robin photos that I hadn’t yet shared here.<\/p>\n

Back to the bathing American Robin:<\/strong><\/h2>\n

What I like about these intimate, close-up photos is the great view of the fine feather details of the robin and the flying water droplets.<\/p>\n

It just makes me feel cooler looking at these photos. It is like looking at snowy or rainy images on a hot summer day; the temperature feels like it drops a degree or two at least while the photos are in view.<\/p>\n

It’s going to be another scorcher today. I’ll be thinking of cool streams and splashing water to help cool me off.<\/p>\n
