Earlier this month, while camping at Mount Magazine State Park<\/span><\/a> in Logan County, Arkansas, I had a blast seeing and photographing these White-tailed Deer does.<\/p>\n

I’ve shared one of the White-tailed Deer images I took that day and planned to share more images of the deer later. Well, it’s later!<\/p>\n

The White-tailed Deer doe looks daintier to me than the Mule Deer doe I saw and photographed in Utah. There’s nothing wrong with these does being dainty-looking; in fact, I quite like their appearance.<\/p>\n

The setting where Steve Creek<\/span><\/a> and I found these deer was lovely and green, with the deer in an open spot next to the road. That made it much easier to focus on them without worrying about finding a clear view.<\/p>\n

I was very happy to take images of these White-tailed Deer does with a massive, lichen-covered boulder behind them. The boulder was huge, making me wonder how long it had been in that spot.<\/p>\n

These deer are not hunted at Mount Magazine State Park, which may explain why these does and the fawn with them weren’t skittish at all. They didn’t seem to mind that Steve and I were busy taking loads of photos of them from the road.<\/p>\n

I hope one day I’ll be able to photograph some of the White-tailed Deer bucks on Mount Magazine. Unfortunately, I missed out on getting images of a big buck in velvet the same evening I photographed these does.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
