I was pretty busy yesterday morning, but at about 10:46, I had a great deal of fun photographing a bathing Northern Mockingbird who sent water droplets flying.<\/p>\n

I haven’t had time to go through all of my images of this bathing Northern Mockingbird yet, but this one cracked me up, and I wanted to share it. When I look at the photo, I can’t help but giggle.<\/p>\n

This Northern Mockingbird bathed with wild abandon, and the water droplets flew everywhere. I’ve been hoping for an image like this since spring, and now I have the photos I wanted.<\/p>\n

It might just be me, but the mockingbird doesn’t really look all that happy about bathing. I’m anthropomorphizing, of course.<\/p>\n

The mockingbird probably enjoyed the bath. It was already hot by the time I took images of her or him, hot enough that I didn’t stay outside much after the mockingbird flew off.<\/p>\n

Unlike northern Utah, Northern Mockingbirds are year-round residents here. Maybe later, I will get photos of one in the snow. Now that would be great too!<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
