This jay gave me a head on look at the end of last month. She or he did seem to be giving me <em>the look<\/em> when I had them in my viewfinder.<\/p>\n<p>The jays here have been a bit more skittish since they finished raising their young; I\u2019m really not sure why. That does make them a bit harder to photograph, but I\u2019m up for the challenge.<\/p>\n<p>I believe that once colder weather settles in and food becomes scarcer, the jays will lose some of their skittishness.
