I’m delighted to share two Double-crested Cormorant images that I took yesterday at Charleston Lake Park. Both photos show the same bird swimming on the lake.<\/p>\n

I had hoped to photograph this cormorant catching or eating a fish, but when the cormorants were busy catching fish, they were on the other side of the lake! My long-distance images did not show the detail that these closer photos do.<\/p>\n

But these closer images don’t have fish. Oh well, I’m sure I will take more photos of these cormorants again soon.<\/p>\n

It was good to be back at Charleston Lake Park again. In addition to the cormorants, I saw several Bald Eagles, American White Pelicans, American Robins, American Pipits, one Great Blue Heron, an Eastern Phoebe, one Brown Thrasher, one adult Cooper’s Hawk, and at least one Red-shouldered Hawk. There were also long distant ducks I could not identify. It was birdy!<\/p>\n

The sunrise was spectacular, but I didn\u2019t take any photos of it. Next time I\u2019m at Charleston Lake Park<\/span><\/a>, I need to remember to take some sunrise photos along with the bird images.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
