I haven\u2019t been seeing many squirrels since the temps started dropping below freezing at night. When this Fox Squirrel showed up, I was happy to photograph them.<\/p>\n

It was chilly that morning, I could definitely feel the frost in the air. Even the fluffed-up Fox Squirrel seemed cold. While I’m waiting on the delivery of a new winter jacket myself, the squirrel will adapt just fine to the colder weather.<\/p>\n

The cold here feels different from what I had gotten used to in Utah, there\u2019s definitely more humidity in the air. My new, heavy jacket will help me adjust.<\/p>\n

I’m looking forward to the winter birds and wildlife here.<\/p>\n

I’ve photographed my first Arkansas Purple Finch, and now I’m waiting on Fox Sparrows. I never managed to take any decent images of them in Utah. Circumstances beyond my control always foiled my attempts to photograph those sparrows.<\/p>\n

I also heard my first Pine Siskin of the season yesterday. I’m hoping for more photos of siskins soon as well.<\/p>\n

And I keep hoping for decent images of Opossums. I’ve seen them, but I just haven’t been able to take the photos I want.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
