900px\" \/><span style=\"color: #808080;\">White Clover close up in Oklahoma<\/span><\/p>\n<p>White Clover (<em>Trifolium repens<\/em>) isn&#8217;t native to North America, it hails from Europe and Asia, but it&#8217;s made itself quite at home here.<\/p>\n<p>While some consider it invasive due to its aggressive growth, it&#8217;s widely used in forage crops and has naturalized across much of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>Even without its signature white blossoms, the leaves are intriguing up close, especially when sunlight dances across them.<\/p>\n<p>This plant plays a vital role in agriculture by fixing nitrogen in the soil, which enhances soil fertility and benefits subsequent crops.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it provides a valuable food source for both native and introduced bees, including honey bees.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s easy to overlook White Clover as just another ground cover, but spending a few moments with it reminded me that even the most common plants have their own
