This Coyote image always makes me smile. It was taken in early March of 2010 as the Great Salt Lake began to thaw and there was a hint of spring in the air.<\/p>\n

It was one of those bright days when you feel hopeful that winter is finally over and I wondered if the Coyote felt it too.<\/p>\n

Utah’s winters aren’t kind to the Coyotes with heavy snows that make hunting difficult, short days, and bitter cold winds off of the lake.<\/p>\n

This Coyote just appeared to be enjoying that warmth of the sun as it trotted along. It almost seems that the Coyote was smiling that day. Maybe it was, I know I had a grin on my face.<\/p>\n

Yesterday I read on the UBird group that the Tree Swallows have reached Antelope Island<\/span><\/a> plus\u00a0I have seen a Say’s Phoebe calling over the park headquarters and\u00a0Sandhill Cranes near Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge so can spring be too far behind?<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
