I had been taking images of this breeding plumage white morph Reddish Egret while it hunted and danced in the waves\u00a0on the Gulf coast of Florida.<\/p>\n

It must have decided to look for better hunting grounds and lifted off almost right in front of me. I zoomed back because I didn’t want to clip the wings and at first it looked like the white morph was going to head towards me.<\/p>\n

I\u00a0love the clouds in the background of this shot.<\/p>\n

The white morph of the Reddish Egret isn’t all that common so I was always thrilled to see them on the sugar sand beaches at Fort De Soto. The deep purple blue of the lores along with the pink and black bi-colored bill can be stunning against the creamy white feathers of the White Morph.<\/p>\n

I took many images of this egret that day as it delighted me with its dancing.<\/p>\n
