Yesterday afternoon, I was happy to have a young Mourning Dove in my viewfinder. I\u2019m glad there were some clouds, or the sun would have been too bright.<\/p>\n

The Mourning Dove chick appeared to be just barely out of the nest. Its tail is still very short. He or she may have fledged from the nest in just the last day or so.<\/p>\n

I’ve been enjoying seeing the adult Mourning Doves<\/span><\/a> on a daily basis here. I especially enjoyed it when I was able to photograph them in the snow<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Other doves I’ve seen since moving here include the Eurasian Collared-Doves that are not native and the smaller native Inca Doves. I haven’t yet had a White-winged sighting in Arkansas or Oklahoma.<\/p>\n

I’m still looking forward to taking more photos of the Mourning, Inca, and White-winged Doves.<\/p>\n
