I was going through some of my older images and came across this one of a resting Marbled Godwit at Fort De Soto County Park, Florida and decided to post it today.<\/p>\n

This image brought back some lovely memories of sitting in warm tidal pool with birds surrounding me, the slight smell of salt in the Gulf breeze and the sounds of Laughing Gulls calling overhead.<\/p>\n

The Marbled Godwit was very relaxed in my presence which gave me a sense of belonging to the natural world.<\/p>\n

Photographing birds; wherever I am, allows me to feel a deep and sometimes profound connection to nature. I wouldn’t have it any other way.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
