Back in May I was delighted to photograph this fluffed-up Spotted Sandpiper in breeding plumage while I was near the water at Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The very next day at the refuge, I spotted more of these sandpipers on the Arkansas River. I wrote a post about them and shared a few photos: Surfing Spotted Sandpipers On The Arkansas River<\/em><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Because I was so excited about seeing and photographing Spotted Sandpipers surfing down the Arkansas River on logs, I forgot I had edited this photo and tucked it away in my folder of images I wanted to share.<\/p>\n

I felt like today was a great day to share this Spotted Sandpiper photo.<\/p>\n

I’m keeping this short. I’ve been tied up with two projects this week and haven’t had much time with my camera in hand, but I’m hoping to fix that soon.<\/p>\n

I need birds and time in nature.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
