I went back to Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge for Thanksgiving yesterday, and I was treated to a flurry of Snow Geese in great light not long after sunrise.<\/p>\n

The Snow Geese were flying in to forage in the fields, and the sound was pure music to my ears. I drove back to where I knew they\u2019d settle in, parked, and watched the magic unfold while I photographed and videoed the geese.<\/p>\n

Thousands of geese circled overhead, called, landed, foraged, and chased after each other on the ground in the warm morning light.<\/p>\n

I took more than 1,700 photos and 25 videos of the Snow Geese, and a few Ross’s Geese too, yesterday morning, and savored the magic they shared with me.<\/p>\n

I have hundreds of images to go through, but this morning I wanted to share this one because it made me laugh out loud when I saw it on my screen.<\/p>\n

It looks like the Snow Goose on the left is biting the tail feathers of the goose on the right or riding the tailwind of the one in front. At times, it was bumper-to-bumper geese across the field yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

The experience was awesome, and I\u2019m so glad I got to see the geese on Thanksgiving Day. It was just incredible.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be sharing more photos and video of the Snow Geese<\/span><\/a> very soon.<\/p>\n
