When there are thousands of geese, their calls can get pretty loud, but to me it\u2019s pure magic.<\/p>\n<p>Thanksgiving morning I heard the geese overhead, heading toward the fields on the refuge where they usually feed. I drove back to the spot where I figured they\u2019d be, hoping they\u2019d land on the good side of the light. They scuffle and chase each other while more geese land and take off from the fields.<\/p>\n<p>There were probably a few Ross&#8217;s Geese mixed in with the larger Snow Geese. They came in by the thousands and landed not long after sunrise, glowing in the warm morning light. I zoomed out so I could capture them landing along with some of the habitat of the refuge in my videos.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m completely mesmerized by these geese.
