My first bird of the year was a Great Horned Owl I heard around 4:35 this morning. I never saw them, but that call cut through the New Year darkness.<\/p>\n

Hearing a Great Horned Owl<\/span><\/a> at the very start of the year feels like a blessing whispered in the dark. Wisdom, intuition, protection, and change all wrapped into one unforgettable moment. If the year needed an opening line, that was a spectacular one for me.<\/p>\n

I still don\u2019t know which bird I\u2019ll actually see<\/em> first in 2026, but I do know I\u2019m looking forward to seeing as many birds as possible in the New Year. And I\u2019m hoping to photograph most of those feathered beauties too!<\/p>\n

I wish each and every one of you plenty of birds, joy, and fulfillment for the New Year.<\/p>\n
