Yesterday I photographed these two Blue morph Snow Geese flying over Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge. Their dark bodies and pale heads stood out beautifully as they passed by in perfect sync. Sometimes I get lucky with dramatic light or wild weather. Other times, simplicity does the heavy lifting.<\/p>\n

A car coming down the road triggered absolute chaos. Hundreds of Snow Geese lifted off at once, filling the air with wings, motion, and noise. The calling was loud and constant, the kind of sound you feel as much as hear.<\/p>\n

In the middle of all that, I locked onto these two Blue morph Snow Geese as they cut through the crowd. The sky was packed with geese. Finding and isolating a pair among that many birds took focus, quick reactions, and more than a little luck.<\/p>\n

Blue morph Snow Geese<\/span><\/a> always catch my eye. They don\u2019t blend in the way white birds do against a bright sky, and that contrast makes them especially striking in flight. Watching them move together like this is a reminder of how coordinated geese are, whether they\u2019re migrating, feeding, or just moving from one part of the refuge to another.<\/p>\n

Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge is one of those places where you never quite know what a day there will hand you. Some visits are busy and loud, others feel almost still.<\/p>\n

I like images like this because they don\u2019t need explaining. There\u2019s no clutter, no distractions, just birds, sky, and motion. It\u2019s the kind of scene that rewards patience more than planning, and that\u2019s often how my favorite photos come together.<\/p>\n
