Normally I like my subjects out in the open, but yesterday this Brown Thrasher preferred hanging out in a roadside thicket at Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge.<\/p>\n

Brown Thrashers are like that. They seem to treat thickets like their personal security system. If there\u2019s a tangle of branches within fifty yards, that\u2019s exactly where they\u2019ll decide to be.<\/p>\n

I don’t have nearly as many Brown Thrasher photos as I would like to have in my galleries. In Utah, I didn’t see them at all and here they are skulky, keeping to gardens, thickets, hedges, and dense forest edges.<\/p>\n

When I have a Brown Thrasher<\/span><\/a> in my viewfinder, I’m a happy woman.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
