Last week while at Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge, I found an American Bullfrog Queen wearing a delightful and delicate pondweed crown that made me laugh out loud.<\/p>\n

How could I not laugh? She looked funny and regal at the same time. The laughter bubbled from me, and truth be told, I needed the laugh considering everything that is going on with our country.<\/p>\n

I saw more than a dozen bullfrogs in the area, and I photographed quite a few of them, but this photo quickly became my favorite of the frog photos I took that day.<\/p>\n

I’m surprised I don’t see Great Blue Herons and Great Egrets in the Four Corners Slough feasting on these frogs more often than I do. It might be just a bit too deep; I am not sure.<\/p>\n

I’m glad I had this beautiful American Bullfrog<\/span><\/a> Queen wearing her crown in my viewfinder. Every time I look at this photo, I find myself smiling or laughing.<\/p>\n

Yeah, I bet some of you noticed I didn’t call this frog a he.<\/p>\n

No Kings.\u00a0<\/strong>Not today, tomorrow, or ever.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
