It has been a while since I have seen Pronghorn on Antelope Island State Park close enough to photograph so I was delighted when they were within my focal range yesterday.<\/p>\n

The Pronghorn must have been on the west side of the island which isn’t accessible by vehicles (yet) and I have missed their presence.<\/p>\n

They aren’t true antelope as the name of the island suggests but Pronghorn Island State Park probably wouldn’t roll off the tongue as well as Antelope Island State Park does.<\/p>\n

This doe and buck were in a herd of about 40 to 50 on the south end of the island and it was interesting to me to see how large the fawns were that were born this spring. They sure grow quick and within just days the tiny fawns can keep up with the adults.<\/p>\n

I hope that this winter I will have the opportunity to photograph these Pronghorn<\/span><\/a> in the snow.<\/p>\n

They are amazing animals.<\/p>\n
