\"RedRed Canyon and beautiful clouds at the end of summer, Dixie National Forest, Garfield County, Utah<\/span><\/p>\n

It is difficult for me to believe it has been seven and a half years since I first saw Red Canyon in the Dixie National Forest<\/span><\/a> of Utah but it has actually been that long.<\/p>\n

The first time I saw Red Canyon I was blown away by the red rocks and the hoodoos against the deep green of the pines. This view is seen right from the road.<\/p>\n

I took this image on my first trip there with my old Nikon D70 and the kit lens which was an 18-70mm. I was on my way to Bryce Canyon and just had to stop and take some images.<\/p>\n

Those red rocks against the blue sky with the fluffy clouds were amazing to view. I’ve found that if I look at this photo long enough the clouds will appear to move. The optical illusion kind of makes me a little dizzy!<\/p>\n

Butch Cassidy hid out in these canyons when he thought he had killed a man in a fight over a woman. He hadn’t killed the man, he had just knocked him out.\u00a0 The area where he hid is now called Cassidy Trail.<\/p>\n

Utah rocks!<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
