For the past week I have been anxiously awaiting my first sighting of Lark Sparrows and yesterday I finally saw them. I had been hearing their songs<\/a><\/span> from a distance so I knew they were there. Lark Sparrows are large for sparrows and because of their facial pattern they are unique and easy to identify.<\/p>\n

I love to hear these beautiful sparrows singing from the tops of sagebrush and this one stayed on this bush for at least five minutes alternating between singing and resting. It gave me plenty of time to photograph it while I listened to its song.<\/p>\n

I paid the price of getting a few bites from the biting gnats while photographing this beauty but I think it was worth it.<\/p>\n

I love spring migration and seeing the birds of summer!<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
