The Moose were plentiful on my trip to Montana and Idaho, I think I saw 10 of them including these two that were near Modoc Creek, Idaho. The light was not the best when I photographed them but as usual a few minutes after leaving the moose behind the sun broke through the clouds and the afternoon light was wonderful.<\/p>\n

All of the Moose I saw still had their winter coats which were bleached and getting ragged. It won’t be long before they have their sleeker, shinier summer coats.<\/p>\n

Modoc Creek should be full and rushing along this time of the year from snow melt but it was low and moving slowly. It seems that most of the area in southern Montana and eastern Idaho had a lower than normal snow pack much like we had here in Utah. It worries me actually that this area was so dry.<\/p>\n

The Moose were grazing on the spring grasses and after leaving Paul’s Reservoir and heading back out they were there again.<\/p>\n

I always enjoy seeing Moose.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
