Lark Sparrows are the easiest sparrows to identify that inhabit Antelope Island State Park<\/span><\/a> with their bold facial patterns and white edged tails.<\/p>\n

Quite often I hear them singing<\/span><\/a> before I see them and that helps to locate these large sparrows.<\/p>\n

The Lark Sparrows have been busy on the island rearing their young and feeding them grasshoppers and other insects. I keep hoping to get decent images of the young Lark Sparrows but haven’t found it easy to get them out in the open.<\/p>\n

I was happy to photograph this adult Lark Sparrow with prey while I was on the island.<\/p>\n
