Some times during the middle of summer I start thinking about shorter days, brisk mornings, snow and winter birds.\u00a0 I’m not really wishing summer would go away but start looking forward to a new season and the opportunities that will bring.<\/p>\n

I photographed this adult Bald Eagle as it perched on ice covering the Great Salt Lake in early morning light in January 2012. I liked the golden light on this handsome bird of prey. I haven’t seen many eagles out on the lake the past few years but maybe that is because the lake has been drying up.<\/p>\n

Only a short post this morning because I overslept a bit.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
