I think I could photograph juvenile Burrowing Owls for two months straight and not get bored with them. I find these small desert owls to be fascinating subjects because of their beauty and\u00a0 behaviors, especially the juveniles because they seem more animated at times than the adults. These two photos were taken a week ago in Box Elder County.<\/p>\n

I typically prefer to have eye contact from my subjects but in the case of this yawning juvenile Burrowing Owl I wanted to share it because I don’t think I have a photograph other than this one that shows so much of the inside of an owl’s throat.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
