I don’t often have the opportunity to photograph young Lark Sparrows so I jumped at the chance last Saturday when I saw this one on Antelope Island State Park<\/span><\/a>. The juvenile Lark Sparrow was near an adult and when it took off and flew a few feet then as it landed I captured this image.<\/p>\n

A side note, this image was taken at an area near the park headquarters where natural and man made items are… let’s say dumped… which isn’t as scenic as the rest of the island is but even so it is a lesson that I learned some time ago about looking for beauty in unexpected places.<\/p>\n
