It was clear, smoke-free, cool and wonderful up in Little Emigration Canyon yesterday and seeing several Cedar Waxwings made it even better. The first Cedar Waxwing wasn’t on a good perch, the second one wasn’t in good light but the third time was a charm when I found this one perched out in the open, close and<\/em> in good light.<\/p>\n

I almost always hear<\/span><\/a> Cedar Waxwings before I see them which isn’t to say they are loud, in fact their calls are more of a soft whistle. I didn’t hear these birds call but the waxwing above did call as it left the perch.<\/p>\n

It was wonderful to see blue skies with a few fluffy whites clouds and visiting Little Emigration Canyon for the first time was made all the better by the weather conditions. Little Emigration Canyon looks like it will be a great place to look for birds during the spring migration!<\/p>\n
