\"A<\/a>A September Storm over Henry’s Lake<\/span><\/p>\n

This image was taken last year at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge looking east towards Henry’s Lake, Idaho. The storm clouds hid the mountains as the sun began to set but the golden glow of the grasses made me want to take a series of images as those clouds scuttled across the sky. A couple of hundred years ago Bison would have been part of this scenery too but man has changed the view.<\/p>\n

National parks and reserves are an integral aspect of intelligent use of natural resources. It is the course of wisdom to set aside an ample portion of our natural resources as na<\/em>tional parks and reserves, thus ensuring that future generations may know the majesty of the earth as we know it today. <\/em>\u2014 John F. Kennedy<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I hope that before President Obama leaves office he will create more National Parks and Monuments which will protect those lands from those who would rather scar the earth forever than leave the lands as they are for tomorrow’s children.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good. We can make it better.<\/p>\n
