The Redheads at Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge<\/span><\/a> are getting closer to being in their breeding plumage which they normally show from October through June. The last Redhead<\/a><\/span> that I posted here on my blog was a much paler version of this drake but his colors will be much bolder<\/span><\/a> soon.<\/p>\n

I was only able to get close enough to this Redhead drake yesterday to photograph at the refuge as the rest of them stayed too far away for high quality images. Hopefully in a few weeks I will be able to photograph this drake or others that are in their full breeding plumage at the refuge.<\/p>\n
