This Osprey image was taken in April of 2009 at Fort De Soto’s north beach<\/span><\/a>. I had been photographing smaller birds that were close to me when I noticed the Osprey flying in with a whiting. I didn’t have time to zoom or change my settings and although I wish I would have more focal length (by zooming) I still liked this image because of the fish dangling in the Osprey’s talons, eye contact, the wing position, and most of all the sky with thin clouds.<\/p>\n

Plus, Ospreys flying over beaches always bring a smile to my face.<\/p>\n

The weather has cleared some,\u00a0 the temperatures are cooler and it is actually beginning to feel like fall. Time to get out and see if the fronts brought in any interesting birds!<\/p>\n

Yesterday I finished moving all of my diurnal raptor images from the old galleries to the new ones<\/a><\/span>. There were quite a few images that needed to be reprocessed and my current watermark applied but they are done.
