Low light, a slow shutter speed, panning and a Coyote in motion all combined to create this Coyote blur image. I knew when I saw the Coyote running in low light along the causeway to Antelope Island State Park<\/span><\/a> that most of the frames I took were going to be poor quality.<\/p>\n

I also thought I might get lucky and create a pleasing blur, one where at least the eye of the Coyote was sharp. Out of the thirty-four images I took this was the only one I found appealing.<\/p>\n

Most of the Coyote is sharp but its legs are blurry because of motion and the ground beneath its feet is also blurry because I was panning my lens to track the Coyote as it ran along the shoreline of the Great Salt Lake three days ago.<\/p>\n

I know this Coyote blur isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but I know I like it.<\/p>\n
