Canada Geese are very common here in northern Utah and in other parts of North America. I don’t photograph them often enough and I should remedy that.<\/p>\n

I finished moving all of my swan, geese and duck images<\/span><\/a> to my new photo galleries last week and came across this image of a pair of Canada Geese resting on ice at Farmington Bay WMA<\/span><\/a> that I had taken in February of 2010 and recalled how much I liked this photo. The geese have usually paired up by February and I typically see pairs of them together that time of the year instead of in large flocks.<\/p>\n

I like how the one goose is laying on the ice, how the other one seems to be standing guard over it and I especially like how the gold colored vegetation in the distance is reflected on the ice at the top of the frame. I also enjoy how peaceful I feel when I look at this image.<\/p>\n

Maybe Canada Geese are plain and common but they are birds and I find them all<\/em> appealing.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
