I love to see Coyotes in the wild and I see them most often at Antelope Island State Park<\/span><\/a> and not nearly as often in other locations that I travel to in search of birds and wildlife to photograph.<\/p>\n

Last January I photographed this coyote walking the shoreline of the Great Salt Lake with two other coyotes, they were close to the causeway and I took a couple hundred images of them that day.<\/p>\n

It was bright, sunny and very cold and my hands felt like blocks of ice by the time I left them. I almost<\/em> envied the coyote because of its thick winter coat. I say almost because no one needs to wear a coyote’s fur but the coyote itself. No one.<\/p>\n

A company called Canada Goose out of Toronto thinks differently<\/span><\/a>:<\/p>\n

For Canada Goose, functionality is paramount. Our jackets are built for the coldest places on Earth \u2013 places where skin around the face can freeze in an instant. In these environments \u2013 when life is on the line \u2013 fur is not just the best choice, but the only choice.<\/em><\/p>\n

Other well known companies manufacture clothing for extreme cold without using coyote fur, without trapping and causing them painful, inhumane deaths. Other companies have apparel that can withstand the cold in the harshest of environments including Mount Everest, the Arctic and Antarctica.<\/p>\n

I think their claim is misleading and false.<\/p>\n

Before I order any outdoor clothing now I check the web site and if they sell Canada Goose Products I find the article I am looking for elsewhere. After my order is placed I write the company that sells Canada Goose products and let them know why I took my business elsewhere.<\/p>\n

I know that my one voice doesn’t make much of a difference but I still feel I need to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good. We can make it better though.<\/p>\n
