Just a short post this morning, I’ll soon be heading out to hopefully find some birds to photograph. This image was taken on October 20th and I was quite tickled to get it. I used to dream about getting images like this one of Pronghorns when all I had was a simple Point & Shoot camera and I could never get close enough to the pronghorns to achieve my dreams. Now I can.<\/p>\n

This\u00a0Pronghorn was almost too close, I had to pull my zoom back to 200mm but with the 1.4x TC\u00a0attached I got this at the equivalent of 280mm. I didn’t have time to take off my TC\u00a0or grab my backup D200 with the 18-200mm VR lens on it so I opted for portrait shots since I could not get full body.<\/p>\n

To me; Pronghorns are majestic animals and in my heart they symbolize “Freedom” as much as the Bald Eagle. Wild, free roaming and a delight to see and photograph.<\/p>\n

What a handsome animal.<\/p>\n

Life is<\/em> good.<\/p>\n
